Clean your Washing Machine

It is important to give your washing machine a wipe inside the drum, the door seal and outside with a damp vinegar cloth. Not only will your washing machine look a lot better but it will run better as well!

• Like sinks and bathtubs - it gets dirty even though they are meant to clean things
• It is always subjected to dirty water and mineral / detergent / soil deposits - this build up reduces your washer's performance
• Mineral build up can be abrasive to your washer

So start adding your washing machine to your monthly cleaning routine. Your washing machine and clothes will be happier for it.

It is also a good preventative maintenance practice to check your washing machine hoses from time to time for any sign of wear or weakness. Ensure the taps are turned off and not in use. Most manufacturers would recommend replacing the hoses every 5 years. Make sure your hoses are not a disaster waiting to happen.
